Stef and Brian are originally from California but now call Berlin home. They travelled to Copenhagen for their Copenhagen City Hall elopement, and spending time with them was genuinely lovely.

I loved the outfits they chose for their wedding day. They'd incorporated orange accents throughout, which is one of Copenhagen's most iconic colours. If you've wandered around the city, you'll recognise those warm terracotta and orange-toned buildings that line the streets. Seeing that colour reflected in their wedding styling felt perfectly suited to a Copenhagen elopement.

They also opted for Polaroids and film photography alongside digital photos. This gave the session a cinematic, timeless quality. Film captures Copenhagen with a romantic, nostalgic feel that suits the city well.

What To Expect At A Copenhagen City Hall Elopement?

If you're planning a Copenhagen City Hall elopement and (high chances!) you haven't been to the venue before, here's what typically happens:

⏱️ THE CEREMONY. The ceremony is short, usually around 10-15 minutes. You'll exchange vows and rings in one of the ceremony rooms.

📸 PHOTO TIME. After the ceremony, you have time to explore Copenhagen City Hall for photos. The building features ornate architecture, grand staircases, and beautiful natural light. Most couples spend at least 30 minutes inside before heading out into the city.

🚶 WHAT HAPPENS AFTER. After photos inside, you can take a stroll through the city centre, grab a celebratory drink, or continue with a photo walk around Copenhagen's colourful streets and canals. It's entirely up to you.

Their Copenhagen City Hall Elopement Day

We spent one hour together in total. This is a common package length for Copenhagen City Hall elopements during winter time —enough time to capture the ceremony, explore the building, and have a relaxed walk afterwards without feeling rushed.

After their ceremony, we spent time inside Copenhagen City Hall photographing the interiors. Then we headed outside and walked to Dina Café nearby, where Stef and Brian had a celebratory wedding beer. I left them there to enjoy the rest of their day as newlyweds.

I had a really good time with these two. They were relaxed, genuine, and brought such good energy to the session. Congrats, S + B! Scroll down to see their Copenhagen City Hall elopement below.
