Wedding Photoshoot in Reffen, Copenhagen
S + A celebrated their non-binary Copenhagen wedding in the heart of summer. After their official ceremony at Copenhagen City Hall, they chose Reffen – the city’s vibrant street food market – for their post-wedding photos.
Reffen is a creative hub located on the industrial waterfront, known for its colourful food stalls, recycled shipping containers, and lively atmosphere. What I particularly love about shooting here is the explosion of colour – it adds such a fun, urban contrast to wedding portraits. It’s a little more time-consuming to reach by public transport, so if you’re on a tighter schedule, grabbing an Uber or taxi can save you some time.
Even in the early afternoon, Reffen was buzzing. The sun was out, and as I always say, when the sun’s out in Copenhagen – so are the locals! We spent about 1.5 hours capturing portraits and exploring the area, making the most of the energy and textures Reffen has to offer.
If you’re planning your own wedding in Copenhagen, this could be a great spot for relaxed, unconventional photos. Take some inspiration from S + A’s story below.
