Denmark LGBT Wedding
Dalia and Greta travelled from Lithuania to Copenhagen in spring to get married, bringing their friends along to celebrate this special day with them. Their LGBT wedding in Denmark was a lovely celebration filled with laughter, champagne and plenty of time spent together with the people closest to them.
The couple had their wedding ceremony at Copenhagen City Hall, a popular choice for couples travelling from abroad who want to get married in Denmark. Copenhagen makes a wonderful setting for a small wedding or elopement, especially when you want to combine your ceremony with a city break and have your closest friends or family there with you.
After the ceremony, we headed outside to the City Hall gardens. The building was unfortunately set up for another event that day, so we could not use the usual indoor spaces for photos. The gardens turned out to be a lovely place to continue the celebration, though. Dalia and Greta opened a bottle of champagne with their friends, and we spent some time taking fun group photos together.
Afterwards, we took a little time for portraits of the two of them. I loved seeing how much laughter came naturally between them and their friends.
It is not every day that I get to photograph a Denmark LGBT wedding for a couple travelling all the way from Lithuania to get married here. I was so happy to be part of Dalia and Greta’s day and to document these memories for them in Copenhagen.
