Copenhagen LGBT Wedding
LGBT wedding in Copenhagen brought James and Paul from the UK to Copenhagen City Hall, where they celebrated their wedding and began a new chapter together.
I have a real soft spot for couples who find love later in life. There is something lovely about seeing two people who have already lived so much of life come together and decide to get married. James and Paul were such a lovely couple to photograph, and I was very happy to be there for their day.
After the ceremony, we spent the next hour taking photographs around Copenhagen City Hall. We moved between the beautiful interiors of the building and the courtyard outside, taking our time and finding different little corners for their portraits.
One of my favourite moments from their Copenhagen LGBT wedding happened when we visited the Copenhagen City Hall Library. While we were there, James unexpectedly discovered a connection to his family roots. It was such an unexpected thing to come across during their wedding day, and I loved that this little discovery became part of their story.
After spending some time inside the library, we headed back outside to the Copenhagen City Hall courtyard for the final few photographs of the day.
Then, right at the end, a few drops of rain started to fall.
James and Paul had a colourful yellow umbrella with them, so we decided to make use of it. It gave us the chance to take one final, fun photograph together before saying goodbye.
