Rødvig Wedding
Rødvig is a small coastal village in Stevns, located about an hour's drive south of Copenhagen. For couples planning an intimate wedding in Denmark, Rødvig offers a peaceful alternative to the busier tourist spots. The village has a few lovely hotels where you can get ready before your ceremony, and its proximity to Stevns Town Hall (about 15 minutes by car) makes it an excellent base for your wedding day.
Caroline and Darren travelled from Ireland for their Stevns wedding, bringing their immediate families to celebrate with them. I met Caroline at her hotel in Rødvig where her mum and brother helped her get ready and dressed for the ceremony.
Once Caroline was ready, we travelled together to Stevns Town Hall in Store Heddinge. Darren was already there, waiting rather impatiently (in the sweetest way!) with the rest of the families. He looked brilliant in his suit, and his facial expressions when he finally saw Caroline had me tearing up behind my camera.
The ceremony at Stevns Town Hall was short and intimate. Caroline and Darren exchanged their vows and rings, and afterwards they shared happy tears with both families—those who were there in person and those joining online from Ireland & Brazil (Caroline’s side).
After the ceremony, we headed out for their wedding photos. We spent time capturing family portraits with everyone who had travelled to be there, as well as couple photos. Even though it was a Saturday, the area was relatively quiet, so we had plenty of space and privacy for their portraits.
I'm genuinely so happy to have been their Stevns wedding photographer. Their love and joy were absolutely infectious, and days like this remind me exactly why I love what I do.
