    Last-Minute Proposal in Copenhagen

When Grant got in touch about planning a proposal in Copenhagen, time wasn't on our sideβ€”this was spontaneous, last-minute, and honestly? That's sometimes when the magic happens. It wasn't his first visit to Copenhagen, but this time he wanted to show Jennifer the city dressed in those glorious autumn colours. If you've seen Copenhagen in autumn, you'll know exactly what he meant.

After chatting through his options, Grant decided on Kongens Have (King's Garden), even after I'd warned him it wouldn't be the quietest spot before lunch. The park sits right in the city centre and gets busy, especially mid-morning when mums are out for their coffee walks and tourists are starting their day. But Grant was completely fine with thatβ€”he trusted the vibe, and honestly, he was right to.

As someone who's photographed dozens of Copenhagen proposals, I've learned that sometimes the "perfect conditions" aren't what make a proposal work. Grant and Jennifer's session turned out absolutely beautifully. Those colourful trees, the tree-lined alleys, the golden autumn light filtering throughβ€”it was stunning. There's this particular corner in King's Garden that I absolutely love during autumn, and we made the most of it. Jennifer had no idea what was coming, and her surprise was genuine and wonderful to capture.

After Grant proposed and Jennifer said yes, we continued with a photowalk around the area. We explored the surrounding streets and grabbed that iconic Copenhagen shotβ€”the couple on a cargo bike. It's so quintessentially Copenhagen, and they loved it.

Grant and Jennifer were such a lovely couple to work with. Spontaneous doesn't mean unprepared, it just means being open to the moment. And sometimes that's exactly what a proposal in Copenhagen needs.
