Spring Wedding In Copenhagen

Mai & Darius, a Danish-Romanian couple, planned their spring wedding at Copenhagen City Hall, followed by a cozy wedding reception in the nearby Tivoli Gardens. Opting for an intimate affair, they invited only their closest family members to share in the joy of their special day, reserving the larger celebrations for later in the year. After our initial consultation, we settled on 1.5 hours of wedding coverage to capture the essence of their special day, encompassing key moments from each location.

Civil Ceremony in Copenhagen City Hall

On the day of Mai and Darius's wedding, Copenhagen City Hall was surprisingly quiet, as the ground floor space had been reserved for another major celebration — a common occurrence in such a bustling venue. However, I always reassure couples not to be disheartened by such situations, as there are still plenty of other magnificent floors to explore within Copenhagen City Hall. Alternatively, as we did with Mai and Darius, you can venture into Copenhagen City Hall Gardens. Considering the circumstances, after the official ceremony, we headed to Copenhagen City Hall Gardens. It provided a serene and charming setting for the continuation of their celebration.

Toast in Copenhagen City Hall Garden

In the Copenhagen City Hall Garden, Mai and Darius shared a magical moment, toasting amidst vibrant blooms—it felt straight out of a fairy tale! Mai looked like she stepped right into the scene, her flower crown, bouquet, and elegant white dress adding to the enchantment.

And let me tell you, visiting Copenhagen City Hall Garden during mid-May to early June is an absolute must. The garden bursts into life with colors, setting the stage for an unforgettable celebration. It's the perfect backdrop for creating cherished memories!

Wedding Photoshoot & Reception in Tivoli Gardens

Following the toast, we made our way to the photoshoot and reception at Tivoli Gardens, which was just a few minute walk from Copenhagen City Hall. How convenient that is? Mai and Darius desired only a handful of portraits to commemorate the day, so we captured them against the majestic backdrop of Nimb Hotel before proceeding to their reception venue, Grøften Restaurant, inside the Tivoli Gardens. With a few playful shots capturing their pure happiness, I bid them farewell to enjoy their time with loved ones.
