Tivoli Gardens Winter Wedding
Ana and Riaz chose to get married in Copenhagen just one day before New Year’s Eve, with their wedding taking place at Tivoli Gardens. What a time to celebrate! The gardens were glowing with Christmas lights and decorations, while outside, Copenhagen was absolutely freezing.
I met Ana and Riaz at Nimb Hotel, where they were getting ready and waiting for their guests to arrive. We had some time together before the wedding began, so we chatted, took a few photographs of the two of them and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings.
Then, one by one, their guests started to arrive. We took a few more photographs together, both inside Nimb and outside on the spacious balcony overlooking Tivoli Gardens. There was plenty of time to talk, laugh and enjoy those last moments before it was time for the ceremony.
And then it was time to head outside!
Ana and Riaz were getting married in one of the cosy covered pavilions overlooking the small pond. With the Christmas lights twinkling around Tivoli Gardens, it was such a beautiful little spot for their winter ceremony.
The only problem? It was freezing! Luckily, we did not have to stay outside for long. Ana and Riaz exchanged their rings and shared a few short vows, while their guests cheered them on. A few heartfelt words, a lot of happiness and just like that, they were married!
Afterwards, we made our way back to the warmth of Nimb Hotel. The newlyweds had their wedding toast, signed the documents and officially became husband and husband.
And then it was time for me to say goodbye .. Ana and Riaz had the rest of their evening to celebrate quietly together before getting ready for their flight back to the UK the following day. I was so happy to be part of their Tivoli Gardens wedding and to photograph these small moments around their day, from the excitement of waiting for their guests to arrive to their cosy winter ceremony.
