A Wedding at Mossbylund Hotell, Skåne
It's not every day I get to photograph two Lithuanians who've made their home in Sweden. Ieva and Eitvidas gathered everyone they loved — family and friends who'd travelled over from Lithuania — for an intimate celebration at Mossbylund Hotell in Skåne, and the whole day had that particular warmth that comes when a small group of people are genuinely happy to be in the same room together.
Mossbylund is a lovely setting for a wedding. The hotel sits in the Swedish countryside, quietly elegant without being overdone, and it's practical too — guests can stay overnight, which makes a real difference when people have travelled. It's also well placed: close enough to Malmö to be an easy journey, and the beach is just a short distance away if you're after a morning walk the day after.
Good to know: Mossbylund sits on Skåne's south coast, about 40 minutes from Malmö ,which makes it a genuinely easy choice if guests are travelling in from the city or flying into the region. The hotel is just 100 metres from the beach so there's a natural morning walk built into the day after. The hotel is set in a renovated 19th-century farmhouse and most rooms have views over the Baltic Sea — a lovely detail for guests who are staying overnight.
Intimate Wedding Ceremony
The couple's wedding officiant was a dear friend, and that made all the difference. The vows weren't a formality — they were a proper account of what these two people had meant to each other over the years, the kind of words that only someone who really knows you could put together. I photograph a lot of weddings, and I'll be honest, this one got to me. Ieva and Eitvidas wanted minimal coverage from me — a few quiet hours, nothing more — and they wanted it on film. So this is a short photo story, not a full gallery. But sometimes a handful of frames tells you everything you need to know about a day.
