    Planning Same-Sex Engagement in Denmark

Same-sex engagement photo sessions in Denmark are still less common than heterosexual ones, which makes it especially meaningful when couples choose to document their proposal. Daniela contacted me with a detailed plan to propose to Ana during their visit to Copenhagen. She had a clear vision of what she wanted to capture, and I was excited to help bring it to life.

To add a personal touch, she asked me to prepare an artificial flower bouquet that they could take back home to Portugal. The bouquet was made by Cool & Cozy, one of my favourite florists in Copenhagen.

Instead of exchanging traditional engagement rings, Daniela and Ana chose heart-shaped earrings as their symbol of commitment. The proposal took place at the Royal Library Garden, one of the most scenic and peaceful locations for engagement photography in Copenhagen. I discreetly captured the moment and followed it with a relaxed photo walk around the garden and nearby areas.

If you’re planning an LGBT proposal in Denmark, this session offers a great example of how to create a personal and memorable experience. Scroll down to view the full gallery and get inspired for your own engagement session.
