Engagement Photoshoot in King’s Garden, Copenhagen
Lara and Elias had planned a trip to Denmark before travelling to Japan a few weeks later, but Lara had no idea that their Friday evening would end with a proposal and an engagement photoshoot in Copenhagen. Elias, who is Danish, had secretly planned to propose to his long-term girlfriend during their stay, and I was very happy to photograph her genuine surprise and reaction.
We had arranged the proposal at King’s Garden, one of the most popular places in Copenhagen for secret proposals and engagement photoshoots. The gardens offer plenty of space to walk and several beautiful spots for photographs, making it a natural choice for both the proposal and the portraits that followed.
After Lara’s enthusiastic and emotional yes, we continued strolling through King’s Garden together. We stopped for portraits in front of Rosenborg Castle and walked along the famous tree alley, taking photographs along the way while giving them time to enjoy the first moments of being engaged.
It was such a pleasure to spend the Friday evening with these two and to capture such a personal part of their trip to Denmark. Congratulations, Lara and Elias!
