Family Photo Session in King’s Garden (Kongens Have), Copenhagen / Silvija + Marijonas
Family photo session in King’s Garden (Kongens Have) was the perfect choice for Silvija and Marijonas, a Lithuanian family who had visited Copenhagen before and were happy to return to the city with their children.
This time, they wanted to spend part of their family trip in one of their favourite places in Copenhagen and document their time together with an evening photo session. King’s Garden, or Kongens Have as it is known in Danish, gave us plenty of space to let the children run around and simply enjoy being together.
We wandered along the tree-lined paths, spent time on the lawns and stopped to enjoy the views towards Rosenborg Castle. The evening light was beautiful, but the real energy came from the children. They had so much of it! They were running around, playing, making each other laugh and coming up with their own little games. We followed along, allowing the session to unfold naturally rather than asking them to stay still for too long. For me, those moments of movement, laughter and interaction are what make family photographs feel like a true memory of the day.
I loved that Silvija and Marijonas chose to return to Copenhagen and make time for photographs in a place that already meant something to their family. Their evening in King’s Garden became a small part of their return to the city, filled with running feet, laughter and plenty of family time.
