Church Wedding in Copenhagen / Caroline + Andrés
Photographing a wedding in your own neighbourhood is a unique and delightful experience. Knowing every corner and hidden gem allows me to offer the best advice on perfect photo session spots for wedding celebrants.
Caroline and Andrés chose to tie the knot in Islands Brygge, Copenhagen’s neighbourhood situated by the canal — a hotspot particularly beloved during the summer months. Their church marriage ceremony took place at Hans Tausens Kirke, followed by a short stroll to continue the celebration at Bryggens Spisehus, Kulturhuset.
Unlike traditional Danish weddings that span from wedding preparations to the first dance, Caroline and Andrés opted for a more intimate and relaxed affair. They treated their guests to a simple yet elegant lunch or afternoon tea, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere to commemorate their special day together. For the couple the most important factor was to capture family interactions, the in-between moments, the general atmosphere of the day.
