Eloping in Helsingør
L & L’s intimate elopement in Helsingør was everything I love about photographing weddings in this charming coastal city. While mid-autumn usually brings moody skies and bare trees, this day surprised us with soft clouds and an unexpected burst of colour — warm-toned buildings, cozy alleyways, and the perfect backdrop for a romantic photo walk.
After their sweet ceremony at Helsingør City Hall, we set off in the late morning, wandering through the quiet streets towards the Kronborg Castle. The city felt almost like a secret — peaceful, still, and all ours for the afternoon. That’s one of the reasons I adore shooting elopements here. Unlike the busy energy of Copenhagen, Helsingør gives couples space to breathe, be themselves, and enjoy the moment. It’s calm, full of charm, and always a little bit magical.
L & L were an absolute joy to spend time with. I love when a photo session turns into something more — real conversations, shared laughs, and a genuine connection. They brought such great energy, completely embraced the editorial vibe, and made everything feel effortless. And their bouquet? So simple, yet complementing the aesthetics of Helsingør.
