As a film and analogue photographer based in Copenhagen, I offer film as an exclusive add-on alongside my digital coverage. You always leave with a complete, fully edited digital gallery. The film images are an extra layer on top of that, a handful of frames with a look that's just different.
Yes, digital can replicate the aesthetic these days. But what I've actually noticed is that couples tend to relax more when I pick up the film camera. It's small, unobtrusive, and somehow feels less like being photographed. That shift in energy shows up in the images. And with film, you never quite know what you're going to get, there's an unpredictability to it that I find genuinely exciting, and most people do too once they see the results.
What is film photography, exactly?
Analogue or film photography is the original way of capturing light. Instead of a digital sensor, a roll of physical film is exposed to light, and the chemical reaction creates an image with a character entirely its own. Slight grain. Creamy highlights. Deep shadows. Skin tones that feel alive rather than processed. It's timeless because it literally is the same materials photographers have used for over a century.
Shooting on film also changes how I work. Every frame counts, so I slow down and become more deliberate. That tends to produce images that feel considered rather than grabbed.
Your film images are delivered digitally. After the session the rolls are professionally developed and scanned, standard or high resolution depending on your needs. You get digital files in your gallery, same as everything else, but with the genuine grain and warmth of real film. No presets. Prints are also available for an extra cost.
I offer film exclusively as an add-on to my digital coverage, never as a standalone. That's a deliberate choice because it means you get complete coverage, plus something a little more rare on top of it.

The Person Behind The Camera
I'm Ieva Vi, and I've been photographing weddings since 2020 when I moved to Denmark. I've documented over 100 weddings across Scandinavia and beyond, and film has quietly become one of the things I love most about this work.
My overall approach is documentary — I'm drawn to genuine moments as they unfold, not carefully constructed poses. Film fits naturally into that philosophy. It slows everything down, makes you more present, and produces images that will still look extraordinary in thirty years.
