Malmö City Hall is a charming and increasingly popular spot for weddings — especially for both international couples and locals who want something intimate, stylish, and stress-free. If you’re based in southern Sweden or even Copenhagen, it’s worth considering. Fun fact: Malmö is just a quick 30-minute train ride from central Copenhagen, making it a super convenient alternative when City Hall queues across the bridge get long — or if you’d simply prefer to say “I do” on the Swedish side!
So, what’s the story of M + H, this sweet international couple? They decided to elope in mid-May, and wow — what a perfect Saturday it turned out to be. Malmö was absolutely buzzing with life, the sun was out, and there was this infectious energy everywhere. Even strangers were smiling at them — it was just that kind of day. And yep, the wind was wild — but in true Scandinavian style, it only added to the natural, candid portraits we captured.
Their ceremony at Malmö City Hall was short and sweet (just like in Denmark). Afterwards, we headed out for a relaxed photo walk through the city — including a stop at the beautiful Slottsparken, one of Malmö’s most loved green spaces. M + H had a small reservation there with their guests at Slottsträdgårdens Kafé, a cosy café nestled in the park. Just before lunch, we sneaked in a few more portraits, focusing on those in-between, unposed moments that really show off a couple’s connection.
