Getting married in Denmark as a foreigner means you'll need witnesses—and you might not know anyone locally yet. This is actually one of the most common questions I receive from couples planning their Danish wedding.

Danish law requires two witnesses at every civil ceremony. These witnesses must be present during the ceremony, sign the marriage certificate, and be at least 18 years old. They don't need to be Danish citizens or residents, but they do need valid identification.

For many international couples, this presents a practical challenge. You've chosen Denmark for its straightforward marriage process, relatively simple paperwork, and beautiful ceremony locations. But then you realise you need to find two people you don't know to witness one of the most important moments of your life.

That's where witness services come in.

Over the years, I've witnessed dozens of Danish Town Hall ceremonies, so I know exactly what to expect and how to make your day run smoothly.

📸 10 PROFESSIONALLY EDITED PHOTOS. High-resolution images delivered within 2 days

📱 IMMEDIATE PHONE PHOTOS. A few images sent straight after the ceremony for sharing with family and friends
