Wedding Day on the Island of Ærø
Still in awe of this beautiful Ærø wedding from last summer. ❤️
Stephanie and Ian travelled from Ireland to Denmark to get married at Ærøskøbing Town Hall, keeping their wedding day simple, personal, and completely about the two of them.
The day began at Marstal Hotel, where they got ready together in the soft morning light. There was a relaxed feeling in the room, mixed with a few happy nerves and the excitement of knowing they were about to get married.
Then we headed to Ærøskøbing Town Hall for their intimate wedding ceremony. Short, meaningful, and filled with emotion.
Afterwards, we made our way to the beach near the colorful beach huts. 🌈 There was no need for a big production. Stephanie and Ian walked barefoot, laughed together, and enjoyed the quiet moments of being newly married.
We finished the day wandering through the old streets of Ærøskøbing, taking photographs as they explored the beautiful historic town around them.
As an Ærø wedding photographer, days like this are exactly why I love photographing intimate weddings in Denmark. There is something special about slowing down, keeping things personal, and letting the day unfold naturally.
