What Is the Omio Promo Code and Who Can Use It?
It’s a referral credit, not a random coupon from the internet. When a new customer signs up with my link or code, Omio adds €10 of travel credit to their account. You can spend it on trains, buses, flights and ferries booked through Omio, as long as the order hits the €50 minimum.
It only works if you’ve never booked with Omio before. If you already have an account, it won’t count you as a new customer, though you can still invite friends and earn credit yourself.
What Is Omio?
Omio is a travel search and booking platform that compares trains, buses, flights and ferries in one place, so you can see the cheapest and fastest options side by side. It operates in 15 countries, has around 27 million monthly users and works with 800+ travel partners across 100,000+ destinations in Europe. It’s especially handy when your trip has several legs and you’d otherwise be juggling five different booking sites.
How Do I Use the Omio Promo Code?
Click my referral link (or keep the code handy)
Create a new Omio account, making sure you’re not logged into an old one
Verify your account, which may include a phone verification by SMS
Search for your trip and pick your tickets
At checkout, your €10 credit should appear, or enter ievav1t5a2j0s where it asks for a referral code
The credit also sits in the credits area of your Omio account. If you can’t see it, the usual culprits are signing up without the link, using an old account, or not having verified yet.
Can You Stack Omio Promo Codes?
No, you can’t stack promo codes with Omio. The referral credit can’t be combined with any other promotion or offer, so you’ll need to pick one. For a first booking, the €10 is the easy choice.
A few other rules worth knowing before you book:
Minimum order of €50
The credit expires after 1 year
Some providers and ticket types are excluded, including certain integrated providers and purchases made off the Omio site
My Tips for Getting the Best Price
Pay in euros (EUR). The best results I’ve found come from choosing EUR as the currency. If it converts to something else, the price can fluctuate by around €2, which quietly eats into your discount.
Compare before you pay. Omio is a third party platform, so it charges an extra fee and some tickets cost more than booking directly with the train, bus or airline company. That doesn’t make it a bad deal though. On your first order, the €10 off can still tip things in Omio’s favour, so check the final price against the direct price and go with whichever is lower. If they’re close, having everything in one place is a nice bonus.
