For anyone considering a boudoir photoshoot in Copenhagen, your own home can be a beautiful place to create intimate and personal photographs. For Laura, the goal was to keep the session natural, minimal and tasteful, while bringing some of her personality and creativity into the images.
Laura is an artist in her free time, so we wanted to include some of the details that make her home feel like hers. Her paintings, books and other creative touches became part of the photographs, adding a personal layer to the session without taking attention away from her.
Copenhagen Boudoir Photoshoot
Laura’s Copenhagen apartment was the perfect setting for the session. With its clean Scandinavian style and beautiful natural light, we had everything we needed to create a relaxed atmosphere and a varied collection of photographs.
I often tell my clients that you do not need to rent a studio or book a hotel for a boudoir session. Your own home can be the perfect setting. It is familiar, private and personal, which can make it easier to relax and feel comfortable in front of the camera.
We moved through different rooms and corners of Laura’s home, creating a few different looks and moods along the way. Each space brought something different to the photographs, while the simple surroundings and natural light kept the images soft and understated.
I loved seeing Laura’s artistic side become part of the session. Her paintings, books and creative details helped tell a little more of her story and made the photographs feel personal and connected to her.
