We can wander through the city, head towards the harbour, stop for photos when the light is beautiful, or turn your portraits into a little coastal adventure.
That’s how I love photographing weddings. I want you to remember how your day actually felt: the excitement before the ceremony, the happy tears, the hugs, the laughter and those quiet moments when it’s finally just the two of you.
My approach is relaxed and documentary-inspired, with gentle direction when you need it. You can focus on each other and enjoy your day while I capture the story as it unfolds.
A Wedding Photowalk Through Esbjerg
One of my favourite things to do with couples after their ceremony is simply to go for a walk.
Esbjerg is wonderfully walkable, so we don’t need a complicated plan to create a beautiful variety of wedding photographs. I love taking couples towards Landgangen and Esbjerg Bypark, where we can enjoy the greenery, city surroundings and views towards the harbour.
Along the way, we can also look for interesting art walls and unexpected corners that add something playful to your photographs. The idea is to take our time, enjoy being newly married and let the city become part of your story.
If you have more time, or you’re arriving by car and fancy a little adventure, we can head beyond the city.
We could hop on the ferry to Fanø and explore its charming streets and beautiful coastal surroundings. Or we can head towards Sædding Strand and photograph you by the sea, with the famous Men by the Sea sculptures creating one of Esbjerg’s most recognisable backdrops.
Your wedding photowalk can be short and sweet or a proper west coast adventure. We’ll choose what feels right for you, depending on your timeline, the weather and how much of the area you’d like to experience.
The Person Behind The Camera
I’m Ieva Vi, and I’ve been photographing weddings since 2020 when I moved to Denmark. I’ve documented over 100 weddings across Scandinavia and beyond, but what matters most to me is getting to know each couple I work with. I care about the experience as much as the photographs. I want you to feel relaxed, looked after and free to enjoy your day without worrying about doing everything “right” for the camera.
